What is Remote DSL service (RDSL)? Why Dial-up is still reliable Internet connection?

What is Remote DSL or RDSL service? Many people are wondering what it means and how it looks like. So we will share some more information about it.
DSL is a Digital Subscriber Line, in general it is Internet service over the standard Phone line, when you can surf the Internet and call your friends at the same time, using one line at your home or office. DSL Internet is much faster than Dial-up Internet, but kind slower than cable. The most pretty thing about DSL is that this type of Internet connection allows you to use multiple IPs within your ISP (Internet Service Provider) range. And those IPs are usually unlimited - 999.xxx.xxx.xxx.
So what is Remote DSL (RDSL)? In general, it is the same DSL Internet plus remote computer which you connect to to be able to use the DSL Internet. It is useful let's say when you need the DSL connection from a different place. Basically it works like this: a person located, for example, in India, wants to have a dynamic American IP address, to be able to surf some websites that restrict their access by local IP addresses. So if you are in Europe and you need to check your US Paypal balance, for 90% you will need the US IP address to access the website, otherwise you will get blocked, because for Paypal it looks like the other person wants to connect to your account. So once you found a person or a company which provides Remote DSL service, you make an agreement on price and then you use any remote access software like Radmin, Logmein, Teamviewer, Gotomypc or another program to establish connection between two computers.
It is mainly used by professional advertisement posters, because websites require people to have U.S. IP address (different IP for each posting). After ad is posted it is very easy to change IP address – you just need to press a button (it depends on a company; for example http://www.dslrentals.com has a very simple IP changer, you will need only 3-5 seconds to change an IP).
Another alternative to RDSL is Dial-up service. Dial-up Internet access is a form of Internet access that uses the facilities of the public switched telephone network (PSTN) to establish a dialed connection to an Internet service provider (ISP) via telephone lines. You won't be able to make phone calls and use Dial-up Internet at the same time. And compared to DSL (Up to 15 Mpbs/sec speed), Dial-up provides much slower speed connection, up to 56 Kbps/sec. But at the same time, when all of your DSL IPs come from the city where your DSL is located, Dial-up provides you more flexibility. With Dial-up you simply dial a phone number of the city where you need IPs to come from. It is called dial-up access numbers (unlimited numbers from all cities you can get with DSL Rentals company at: http://www.dslrentals.com). So if you need to make a post in San Diego, CA you will need to call one of those access numbers to get an IP from San Diego, and 90% you will get live there. Or let's say you need to access your library online account in school in NY, which restricts it's access by IP addresses from New York only. So all you have to do sitting in Chicago, IL, is to call access number from the state of New York.
So it is your choice which connection suits your needs best, but it is definitely the best way to go with a DSL or Dial-up service to get unlimited USA IP addresses.
